The World War Has Started – Friday Sermon 5 April 2024
In his Friday Sermon delivered on 5 April 2024, coinciding with the final Friday of Ramadan, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the Khalifatul Masih V (aba), urged Ahmadis to pray:
“Pray especially for the progress of the Jamaat during the prayers of Ramadan. Pray for the release of those imprisoned for believing in the Promised Messiah (as), whether they are in Pakistan, Yemen, or elsewhere. May Allah Almighty arrange for their release and turn the evil of the wicked against themselves. Pray earnestly for us and our next generations to be safe from the fire of wars and the subsequent effects that follow. May Allah Almighty protect us.
“Now, it seems as though war is imminent, and not just imminent, it has already begun; in fact, a world war has commenced. However, the rulers of the world seem unconcerned. They believe they will remain safe while the common people suffer. But this is their folly. They are prioritising their egos. They have no regard for the masses. These are the tricks of the Dajjal; they have ensnared the public, claiming, ‘We are doing this and that for you.’ However, voices of dissent are starting to rise among the public here and there. But their schemes have distanced people from Allah Almighty. They themselves are distant from Him. And along with that, immodesty etc. are at their peak; Allah Almighty does not approve of this. The outcome will inevitably be that these people will face the wrath of Allah Almighty.
“In such times, Ahmadis need to draw closer to Allah Almighty and intensify the iztirar in their prayers to escape their evil. Pray for the good-natured among these people as well, that they too may be saved from evil.
“As I have just mentioned, the World War has already begun. The war has now moved beyond the borders of Palestine. The attack on the Iranian embassy in Syria, which they carried out, is a major crime under any law. And because Israel has committed it, the world remains silent. Now, this will lead to the further spread of war. Now there is an uproar over the deaths of their [Western] aid workers. Some people have started speaking up, but they were silent over the deaths of innocent Palestinians. Now they feel the pain when their own people have died. “In any case, we should pray that Allah Almighty saves humanity and grants us the ability to fulfil our duty toward supplications. [Amin.]”
