Voices for Peace event held at the Northern Ireland Assembly

Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association UK held a Voices for Peace event on Friday, 1st March 2024, at the Northern Ireland Assembly.

The event was hosted by Harry Harvey MLA and attended by more than 40 people including Jim Shannon MP, Pat Sheehan MLA, Gerry Kelly MLA and guests from a range of professions.

Quoting His Holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the Head of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Imam of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Ireland, Ibrahim Noonan said:

“For as long as (world leaders) do not courageously strive for a ceasefire they are invariably responsible for taking the world towards destruction.”

Calling for peace, Pat Sheehan, a Member of Sinn Fein said:

“All of us have been watching the genocide taking place in Gaza and everyone needs to raise their voices against what is happening. I hope this particular event will encourage people to go out and raise their voices for peace. Peace in the Middle East and Peace in the world.”
